Return & Refund Policy

Effective Date: June 2026

At Darren's Apiary, we strive to provide professional, honest, and high-quality beekeeping and bee removal services. Because many of our services involve labor, live insects, and custom work, the following Return & Refund Policy applies.

Service Refunds

Payments for completed services, including but not limited to:

  • Swarm Removal

  • Live Bee Removal

  • Wall Cut-Outs

  • Valve Box Removals

  • Hive Inspections

  • Hive Management

  • Consulting Services

are generally non-refundable once work has been performed.

Deposits

Deposits collected for scheduled services may be refundable if the appointment is canceled at least 48 hours before the scheduled service date.

Deposits may be forfeited for cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice or when the customer is unavailable at the scheduled appointment time.

Bee Removal Services

While Darren's Apiary takes every reasonable effort to remove and relocate honey bee colonies, we cannot guarantee that future swarms or new colonies will not establish themselves on the property after service has been completed.

Refunds will not be issued due to future bee activity occurring after completion of service.

Hive Management Services

Monthly hive management fees are non-refundable once inspections, maintenance, treatments, or other services have been performed.

Customers may cancel future recurring services at any time with written notice.

Product Sales

If Darren's Apiary sells products such as honey, beeswax products, beekeeping equipment, queens, nucs, or honey bee colonies:

  • Products may be eligible for return within 14 days of purchase if unused and in original condition.

  • Live bees, queens, nucs, and colonies are non-returnable and non-refundable once delivered or picked up.

  • Food products, including honey, are non-returnable unless required by law or due to product defects.

Damaged or Incorrect Products

Customers must notify Darren's Apiary within 48 hours of receiving a product if it arrives damaged or if an incorrect item was received.

We will work with the customer to provide a replacement, exchange, or refund when appropriate.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be issued using the original payment method whenever possible and may take several business days to process depending on the payment provider.
